For students in Core English and Focus on Communication Programs

Program Focus and Flexibility - Focussed Courses and Workshops: While our morning periods (1 to 4) focus on developing core common skills our afternoon periods (5 to 7) allow students to tailor their program to meet their own specific needs through Focussed Courses or Workshops. Both are critical components of our student centred approach to learning, emphasizing individual needs and the role of the student in the learning process.

Focussed Courses: provide intensive, concentrated studies for higher level students looking to learn English for business, hospitality, specific fields (such as aviation or medicine), exams (TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS) or higher education. They are offered in periods 5 to 7, Monday through Thursday. Focussed Courses require pre-registration. See page 9 for a list of Focussed Courses.

Elective Workshops: An essential and very popular component of our programs, Workshops enhance the learning experience by allowing students the flexibility to focus on particular language skills and interesting topics. Workshops are offered at various levels (more options for higher levels) and on different topics. Students may select different ones each week. See page 9 for a listing of sample workshops.
